Outland Siberians breeds quality Siberian Huskies. Our goal is to produce Siberian Huskies that are joyful family members and embody the proud heritage of the northern sled dog. As form follows function, so too the husky’s body and mind should be that of a reliable member of a working team-whether the team is the children in his pack or a team of huskies pulling a sled. We strive to produce a dog with a great temperament and working ability who is at home on the couch or in the snow.

We breed only occasionally and clear our dogs for hip dysplasia using PennHip testing (for more information about this more objective assesment of hip laxity go to:http://www.canismajor.com/dog/pennhip1.html) and  CERF assessments of their eyes for heritable cataracts and other eye disorders, including PRA.  We will continue to improve our health testing as new knowledge becomes available. We support ongoing research into the genetic basis of the diseases that affect northern dog breeds and encourage others to do so.
